Basketry is an art form practiced by the largest tribe in South Africa, the Zulu people. This craft dates backs 200 years when tribe members began turning dried grass into functional objects, such as storage containers, cups and bowls for the household.

African Folklore Embroidery Basic kits are on black cotton fabric- designs pre-stamped. Kit includes needle, braid of brightly colored threads from South Africa, instructions, guidelines, stitch diagram and pictures of example of completed design.
